Imagine effortlessly skimming across clear waters, gliding down the face of a wave the size of a cliff, or twisting and looping in the air like an acrobat…well, it might take a few years' practice, but windsurfing offers you the chance to do all of this and more. Windsurfing, at its simplest, is a board, a sail and you. A fusion of surfing and sailing, it’s a bit like using a surfboard powered by a sail. It's faster, more varied and unlike surfing doesn’t depend on waves; windsurfing can be done on any body of water, from ponds to open seas, in light breezes to gale-force winds.

Wind-surfing experience

If you like extreme sports then windsurfing is definitely for you. Surfing refers to a person or boat riding down a wave and thereby gathering speed from the downward movement. Most commonly, the term is used for a surface water sport in which the person surfing is carried along the face of a breaking ocean wave (the "surf") standing on a surfboard. Windsurfing rely primarily on wind for power.
